Error while registering the dll using SQL Server 2008

Mar 3, 2015 at 7:01 PM

I couldn't able to register the dll for Sql Server 2008. It seems the issue related to .net framework version differences. SQL Server 2008 using .net framework version 2.0....
The dll built on later version of .net framework 3.5

The error

Msg 6218, Level 16, State 3, Line 4
CREATE ASSEMBLY for assembly 'YAddressSqlFunction' failed because assembly 'YAddressSqlFunction' failed verification. Check if the referenced assemblies are up-to-date and trusted (for external_access or unsafe) to execute in the database. CLR Verifier error messages if any will follow this message

Please advise how to solve this issue

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I have uploaded binaries compiled specifically for SQL Server 2008.

While trying to create the ASSEMBLY I get this error. I am in SQL Server 2008 R2.

Msg 6501, Level 16, State 7, Line 1 CREATE ASSEMBLY failed because it could not open the physical file "C:\Temp\YAddressSqlFunction.dll": 2(The system cannot find the file specified.).

Make sure "C:\Temp\YAddressSqlFunction.dll" exists. If your DLL is in a different directory, use its proper path in CREATE ASSEMBLY.

I had verified and it is present in that directory.

Make sure you are looking on the right machine and not confusing your server with your client.

Well, I have the SQL Server installed in C Drive as well.
